Friday, January 27th, 2023, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Finance Republic of Indonesia visited Cikarang Dry Port. It was her first visit to our dry port facility, together with the executive who joined the delegation, including Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance Heru Pambudi, Director General of Customs and Excise Askolani, Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo, Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency Febrio Nathan Kacaribu, Inspector General Ministry of Finance Awan Nurmawan Nuh, and Head of the Single Window National Institution M. Agus Rofiudin.
The Minister of Finance held a dialogue with business actors who use the services of the Ministry of Finance from the Cikarang, Bekasi, and Purwakarta regions. From the visit, the Minister of Finance showed that collaboration between the government and business actors can achieve economic improvement, even during the most difficult times, such as a pandemic.
Apart from holding dialogues with business actors, during the visit the Minister of Finance also had the opportunity to visit the Cikarang Dry Port (CDP), to see the business processes and activities of the temporary storage area (TPS). Located in the supervision area of Cikarang Customs, CDP has been operating since 2010 and is part of a government program, namely the Customs Advance Trade System and Indonesian Blue Print Logistics to simplify and increase Indonesia’s logistics competitiveness.
Currently, to be able to face potential challenges in the future in providing better services, CDP is synergizing with Cikarang Customs and Excise to transform business process improvements. This transformation includes strengthening the culture, developing business processes, and developing systems, such as autogate systems, behandle management systems, and electronic seals that are integrated with CEISA. This transformation is also in line with the government’s efforts in the National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE) as a major national initiative aimed at reducing logistics costs and accelerating the movement of goods in the supply chain. To support this, various ministries/agencies have also been coordinated in providing optimal services, including the Ministry of Finance.
Thank you very much for visiting us. Hopefully, this visit will further strengthen cooperation and synergy between all stakeholders (importers & exporters), port operators, freight forwarders, shipping, as well as Customs and Quarantine Agency.
